Alumni — graduates, class years, and contact

The Alumni tab keeps the school's graduates by class year — as people in the one parish memory, whether or not they have a parish household today.

Adding alumni

Type a name and class year. If the person may already be known, Vianney shows candidates and a human picks — identity is never guessed. An alum with no parish household is kept as an alumni-only contact.

Contact and consent

Alumni may be contacted (the pastor's decision, July 2026) — an alumni segment behaves like any other list in Comms. The rules, in order:

• A recorded opt-out always wins — anyone who unsubscribes is excluded from every send.
• Otherwise alumni are reachable like any contact, opted in or not.
• The per-person consent mark (who said yes, and when) is still recorded for the parish's own records.

Grandparents

Grandparents of current students are found only through recorded family relationships — never inferred from a shared surname. They appear in the school-family lists and as a segment for the school's benefit events.
