Campaigns and thank-you drafts
A campaign is an appeal with a goal — the fall appeal, a scholarship drive, the gala's fund-the-need. Its card tracks goal vs pledged vs received, always from real sums, never a projection.
Setting one up
- 1. In Stewardship → Campaigns, open New campaign.
- 2. Give it a name, a kind (annual, capital, fund-the-need, school annual), and an optional goal.
- 3. Optionally tie it to a fund, then Create. Editing campaigns and funds needs the Stewardship permission.
Thank-you drafts
For those entitled, Vianney can draft a thank-you for a gift — warm and specific, never a fundraising pitch. As with every message in Vianney, nothing sends by itself: the draft goes to the normal review, and a person clicks send. The gift amount appears in the draft only if the person drafting it may see amounts. This AI help is optional and metered — an administrator can switch Thank-you drafts off in Settings → AI add-on.
Unattributed rows don't appear here
Loose-plate collections and fee rows recorded as unattributed during import are not a personal gift from anyone, so they never show up in a campaign's donor list and never generate a thank-you draft — only an identified household's own gifts do.
