Choosing a theme and branding

Vianney ships with a calm, churchly default look, and each staff member can pick their own theme, navigation layout, and Home layout — on top of whatever custom branding your parish has applied.

Choosing your theme

Go to Settings → My Settings → Appearance. Vianney ships fifteen named themes; four show by default — Vianney (the default: navy and gold), Classic (the original ink-and-parchment, oxblood-and-gold look), Ordo, and Matins — with a Show all 15 themes link to see the rest. Click a theme's card to apply it instantly.
- A theme changes colors, type, and shape only — navigation structure, permissions, and content never vary by theme.
- Your choice is personal and follows your account to any device — it never affects a colleague's screen.

Navigation and Home layout

Below the theme picker, two more personal choices:
- Navigation layout — Auto (the theme's recommendation), Grouped sidebar (the default grouped areas with a top bar), or Top navigation.
- Home layout — Auto, or Timeline (your day laid out hour by hour).

Parish branding

Where enabled, a parish can also apply its own brand colors and marks on top of any theme — this is managed centrally (raise it with support) so it stays consistent across the app regardless of which theme a staff member personally picks.

Good to know

The look Vianney falls back on when nobody has chosen anything is now the flagship Vianney theme rather than the old Classic, and the four featured cards on the picker come from the theme manifest instead of a fixed list — so the set can change without anything being rebuilt. If you never picked a theme you will now be seeing the current default; if you did pick one, it is untouched and stays exactly as you left it.
