Taking attendance
Attendance is how a parish notices a family quietly drifting before they're gone. It's on by default for Faith Formation and OCIA, off for the school (their system does it) and adult studies — a program setting flips it either way.
Class nights
On a class's Attendance tab, add a session (date + optional topic). Sessions with no marks yet can be deleted; a marked night is history and cannot be.
Marking
- 1. Open a session on the class's Attendance tab.
- 2. Tap P / A / E (present, absent, excused) beside each child — one tap each, saved immediately; a re-tap corrects.
- 3. Partial marking is fine; unmarked children are simply unmarked.
Each child's pattern ("7/9") shows on the roster and their person card.
Reminders
Draft reminder… writes one email per family — "Grade 3 meets Wednesday at 6:30" — addressed to the parents (or to the members themselves in an adult study). You review the batch, edit or skip any, and one confirm sends. Nothing is scheduled or queued behind your back; families without an email on file are listed rather than silently dropped.
