Safe Environment for catechists and volunteers
When you add a catechist, aide, or volunteer to a program, Vianney links them to the parish's Safe Environment records automatically — one system, no second spreadsheet.
What you'll see
Every staffed person shows a colored chip: cleared (green), expiring soon (amber), or not cleared / no profile (red). The chip is a status word only — the detail (which requirement, dates, documents) lives in the Safe Environment module behind its own access rules.
Warn or block
The parish (or the diocese) decides what happens when someone uncleared is activated:
- warn — the activation goes through, and the person is loudly flagged on every roster and dashboard until they're cleared.
- block — the activation is refused with a plain list of what's missing.
Deactivating someone closes their assignment with a date — history is kept, never deleted. Formation never computes clearance itself and never widens who may see Safe Environment detail.
