Forms
Publishing and sharing a form
A form is private until you publish it. Publishing gives it a public web link you can share.
Publish and share
- 1. From the form's row or the builder, click Publish.
- 2. On the form's row in the All forms list, click edit URL to set a clean address, e.g. `/f/funeral-planning`. Changing it later breaks any previously shared links, so settle it early.
- 3. Click copy to copy the full shareable link, and put it on your website, in an email, or in a bulletin.
The public link and its copy button also sit at the top of the builder's Settings tab, so you never have to leave the builder just to grab the address. Changing the address itself stays on the form's row in All forms.
Unpublishing and archiving
- Unpublish takes the form offline while keeping it (and its submissions).
- Archive hides it from the public but retains every answer already collected.
Tips
- Test your own published form once by filling it in — it is the fastest way to catch a confusing question or a wrong required field.
- Publishing and designing are separate steps. A form is live the moment you publish it; the Design tab only changes how its page looks, and a design never goes live until you press Apply. See Designing a page in Canva.
- Publish before you design. The sign-up QR code only travels into a Canva design once the form has a public link to point at.
- Submissions never act on their own; you review and accept them — see Reviewing form submissions.
