The Messages feed

The Messages tab is your daily action feed — birthday and anniversary greetings, incoming Shepherd Notes from parishioners, and anything else needing a reply, all in one place.

What you will see

Cards are sorted by urgency: flagged Shepherd Notes items and same-day milestones come first, then other Shepherd Notes, then birthdays, then anniversaries. Within each tier, cards are sorted by proximity to today and then by name.

Use the Pending / Sent toggle at the top to switch between items waiting for you and the record of what has already gone out. Sort chips let you filter by type.

Working a card

• 1. Click a card to expand it. Read the note or draft — you can edit it freely.
• 2. Click ✨ Draft to have Vianney rewrite the message, or use the microphone to dictate your wording. (The ✨ Draft button only appears if your parish has Personal message drafts switched on in Settings → AI add-on; the card always arrives with an editable starting draft either way.)
• 3. Choose a channel — email, text, or call — and click Send, then confirm. The item moves to Sent immediately.
• 4. To capture a new Shepherd Note, use the + New Shepherd Note box at the top of the feed.

Tips

• The feed looks ahead a configurable number of days for birthdays and anniversaries; adjust this in Settings → Notifications → Days to look ahead (admin).
• Send all reviews and sends a whole batch of pending cards at once, from a single confirm — open it from the feed when you have several to clear; nothing goes out until you confirm the batch.
• Today shows a read-only summary; click Open in Messages → on any card there to jump straight here.
