Setting your baptism policy

Your baptism policy records how your parish handles baptisms — when they are celebrated, what preparation you ask, and the sponsor requirements — so staff answer families consistently.

Set the policy

• 1. In Baptism, open the Policy tab.
• 2. Set the Sundays of the month you celebrate baptisms (e.g. the 1st and 3rd).
• 3. List your preferred times (e.g. "After the 10:30 Mass").
• 4. Note your sponsor requirements (per cc. 872–874) and any preparation you require.
• 5. Click Save policy.

Tips

• This is configuration, not code — every parish keeps its own practice, and you can change it anytime.
• Clear policy text helps the whole office (and the AI, when drafting replies) answer baptism questions the way you would.
• Sponsor and preparation notes are a good place to record your canonical expectations plainly.
