Funerals
Linking a funeral planning form
When a family fills out your funeral planning form online, its answers — readings, music, pallbearers, names — can be attached straight to the funeral case.
Link the form
- 1. Build and publish a funeral planning form set to feed into Funeral (see How to create a form).
- 2. When the family submits it, open Forms → Submissions.
- 3. Vianney offers a Suggested match for the funeral case; confirm or change it and choose Attach & accept.
- 4. The answers now appear in the case's Planning Form pane.
Verify, never overwrite silently
Linking is a propose-then-confirm step — you approve the match before anything is written, in keeping with how Vianney treats anything tied to the sacramental record.
Tips
- A completed form keeps long answers (readings, reflections) readable in full.
- The musician details (cantor, accompanist, soloist) flow through to the funeral director's portal view along with the service schedule and the planning-meeting time. The readings and reflections stay in the parish case.
- Musician fields (cantor, accompanist, soloist) are matched by role, not by exact field name — so a parish's own custom-built form works just as well as the built-in template. See Form fields and logic.
